Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could be forgiven for thinking the United States has a schizoid view of his government and the world’s most populous country.

Modi’s narrow re-election this month was greeted in the U.S. media with petulant satisfaction that Indian voters had “woken up”, as an oped piece in the New York Times put it.

A web of notorious elements comprising journalists, writers, think-tanks, NGOs, newspapers and media outlets are running cruel propaganda against India with the agenda of destabilizing the country by spreading seeds of hatred within people.

India completed its seven-phase election process for the Lower House (Lok Sabha) of parliament on June 1, with results likely to be officially announced on June 4, but it appears likely is that India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to win a third consecutive term in office, exit polls suggest.

Analysts warn the polls, released by various news agencies, have often been wrong in the past and are not impartial. However, they have placed Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the frontrunner in the general election.

Right before Election Day, Biden finally released the names of his ‘bundlers’: the big money fundraisers who backed his 2020 campaign. The David Horowitz Freedom Center’s investigative arm did some last minute sleuthing and found some interesting names on that list.

One of them was ‘Muhammad’ Tahir Javed: a Biden surrogate, Democratic National Committee deputy finance chair, and future Pakistani cabinet member.

To many observers, the leadership of President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has marked an emerging shift in the Indo-American relationship, pointing towards a new era of mutual alignment.

India more than doubled its diamond imports from Russia to 728,000 carats in March from the same period a year ago amid dwindling supplies from Belgium and the United Arab Emirates, according to data from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This not only reflects India’s defiance of European Union sanctions on Russia but also reaffirms the major efforts by Moscow and New Delhi to boost bilateral trade exchanges.
