Mr Drakeford became First Minister of Wales in 2018 and was reappointed to the post in May 2021.

Some Brits at least have never been afraid to strike – and the wave of industrial action hitting various sectors over the crushing cost of living has found its way over to Amazon for the first time in the UK.

The strike among workers at a Coventry warehouse today stems from a 50p-an-hour pay rise (5 percent) to £10.50 ($12.92) back in summer, which has widely been described as "insulting" and "derisory" after staff continued to work through a pandemic that contributed significantly to Amazon's coffers.

The Royal Air Force has grounded its entire fleet of fast jet training aircraft because of an issue with an engine, according to reports. It is not known when flying training on the Hawk T2 jets at an air base in North Wales will resume. The pause will serve another delay for the training scheme that aims to deliver fast jet fighter pilots. The programme has already suffered from a number of serious issues and delays.

Britain has “not ruled out” supplying Ukraine with missiles with sufficient range to destroy missile systems in Russia which may be targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

The answer came to light in response to a written questions ssked by Lord Blencathra.

“To ask His Majesty’s Government whether they have any plans to supply Ukraine with missiles with sufficient range to destroy missile systems in Russia which may be targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.”
