"Virtue gives birth to tranquility, tranquility to leisure, leisure to disorder, disorder to ruin… and similarly from ruin, order is born, from order virtue, from virtue, glory and good fortune." -- Niccolò Machiavelli

On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate approved a bill aimed at streamlining the construction process for nuclear plants, making it faster and more cost-effective.

Members of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, from both the Democratic and Republican parties, hailed the legislation as a crucial move towards a cleaner energy future.

US President Joe Biden may order the release of more crude from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in an effort to tame rising gasoline prices and inflation ahead of the election in November, the Financial Times reported on Monday.

The SPR is an emergency stockpile of petroleum maintained by the US Department of Energy, which was established after an OPEC oil embargo in 1973 and 1974. It serves as a buffer against spikes in oil prices in times of supply disruptions.

According to some of the more cynical elements out there, the entire Ukraine war as orchestrated by Victoria Nuland and various energy-tied elements in the deep state, was meant to do one thing: replace Russia with the US as the primary supplier of European gas (and the recent sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline, only seems to validate this particular "conspiracy theory.")

Several U.S. states and cities are trying to sue or legislate fossil fuel companies out of existence while lining their own pockets. Hawaii has litigation against fossil fuel companies pending before its state supreme court as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

Saudi Arabia and other oil producers are gradually diversifying away from the US dollar in their energy trade, a move that could eventually dethrone the "petrodollar" and undermine the US financial system, international political and economic analysts told Sputnik.

The Saudi Central Bank has joined the Bank for International Settlements’ (BIS) central bank digital currency (CBDC) project, mBridge, to enable instant cross-border payments.

So-called 'green' fuel refineries have used loopholes in federal regulation to become massive polluters, according to a new report.

The 275 Biofuel and ethanol manufacturers in the US released 12 million tons of toxic materials into the air in 2022 compared to 15 million emitted by oil refineries, the report detailed.

It is somewhat surprising (but also not surprising given energy scarcity fears) that after two-and-a-half years of war, hundreds of thousands of lives tragically lost, and brutal grinding warfare which has also killed many civilians on both sides... that the oldest and biggest economic link between Russia and Europe is still in place: the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory.

The Biden administration contends that it is not targeting gas stoves and other domestic conveniences afforded by fossil fuels, but its “building electrification” agenda is poised to effectively do just that, several energy policy experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Folks, I have said it before and I will say it again; electric cars are a good idea but they are not anywhere close to being ready for mass use yet.

It’s all about distance. Think about it this way. Say you are planning a trip across the country, and you are going to use a regular car.

How much do you really have to worry about when you are going to be able to find a gas station?
